TECH REQUIREMENTS (Within Classroom): Students need a recently updated laptop/computer with an updated browser and internet access. Students should arrange access to a back-up computer in case their computer “goes down” during the course. Students will need a Google account.
PREREQUISITE: Ability to read music in a minimum of one clef. Intro to Music Theory is a course to develop a student’s ability to recognize, understand, and describe the conventions and processes of the western art music tradition. The course will build a foundation of music literacy skills and then progress to include more sophisticated tasks of keys, tonality, and chord building.
