Middle School Summer Slide Reading and Writing
T/TH| June 9 - Aug 6 | 9:30am - 10:30am
Enrichment Course, Non-Credit | $150 | Grade 6-8
Class is limited to 15 students
Within this class, students will meet twice a week to develop and enrich reading and writing skills. Students will also fine-tune their ability to create a thesis statement and defend it both verbally and through the use of written word. In addition, students will be given feedback on their writing structure, grammar and spelling. Students’ reading skills will be improved by focusing on strategies that improve their ability to infer the main idea in a reading, improve their vocabulary and hopefully spark a fire for reading independently. Families will be provided with individual feedback each week to inform parents and student of areas of strength or growth.
