Explore the building blocks of the digital world all around us. Dip a toe in the world of website and mobile
application design, and learn why application design and programming are, and will continue to be, one of the
fastest growing job sectors in the world. Learn to program in the world’s most popular computer languages. The
programming language of the web, JavaScript, will also be part of the curriculum. Students will be exposed to PHP
and Python, and recognize how these are used to program sites such as Facebook and YouTube. In addition,
students will learn about programming in Ruby and jQuery, and study how these can make sites and applications
more interactive.
